Bonfire Operating was founded in 2013 by Richie Rockwell. In our infancy, we partnered with knowledgeable area experts to identify, drill and develop shallow oil and gas fields in and around Ozona, Texas. As the Bonfire Energy portfolio of companies has expanded– so has our operating focus. We currently operate wells covering 100 miles surrounding Ozona to include Wichita Falls, Texas. We utilize our expertise in oil and gas research, development and completion to drill, develop, and revitalize vertical oil and gas fields throughout the state.

Aside from operating our own wells, we also specialize in providing contract services for the Railroad Commission of Texas filings, well site supervision, engineering, and well design. Bonfire companies are licensed and bonded by the Railroad Commission of Texas and include Bonfire Operating, Bonfire P&A, Bonfire SWD, and Bonfire Resources.
